I could not wait to get to this spin off of the With Me in Seattle series. We met the Martinelli brothers as part of their cousin's With Me story. I am so happy the author spread her wings into the Mafia world.
Nadia and Carmine have known each other all their lives. Her father swore her away from him early on but now as adults, they decide to take things into their own hands. But we know the mafia never play it straight, or do they?
Twists and turns all over the place with this story. Intrigue, murder and bravado between the families. And along the way, two souls who understand the world better than most gravitate closer together. Carmine turns out to be such a romantic. He will have you swooning for sure!
Love the trademark banter between siblings/family from this author. The story is much darker than her usual tropes but I loved it!
