                                  jadedhearts_frontcover_lores

Signing with Brighthouse Records was supposed to be everything we ever wanted—our better life. Our chance at everything we never had but always wanted. All our dreams would finally come true and we were on top of the world. It was our chance at the happiness we never had in life.

Our every desire was at our fingertips and the power of that feeling was all consuming. But then it took every dream we thought would come true and it slapped us in the face with the cold hard reality.

Dreams were just that…something that floated on the cusp of untouchable, taunting you with every graze of your fingertips before slipping even further away.

Happiness…that feeling is a joke.

In the end it became painfully obvious that each of us would always have each other, but we would forever be alone.

Goddamn, that smile is dangerous.

Who am I kidding? He is dangerous.

I do my best to ignore him, but it’s impossible. The steady brush of his arm against where mine is resting on our shared armrest constantly reminds me how much my body wants his touch. The scent of his delicious cologne hits my senses, making me want to climb in his lap and rub my face over his chest to get a potent lungful of it.

I can’t even remember the last time I was this horny, which is pathetically sad, since it was probably around the same time I actually got laid. Years. I think. Close to three. Maybe that’s why I’m a hot mess lately. I turn my head to study the side of his face and wonder if I can use this situation to my advantage. I mean, after all, we are in a ‘relationship’ now.

He turns and gives me a questioning arch of his dark brows, but I brush it off in favor of playing Disney Emoji Blitz on my phone.

By the time we had hit cruising altitude, I could hear the other men around me snoring away but not Chance. He’s fiddling with his phone, completely ignorant of the fact I’m about to start humping his leg.

“Excuse me,” I breathily say, unbuckling my belt and standing to move around him. I stand there, my head bent slightly because of the overhead, and wait. He doesn’t move, though. Instead, he drops his phone to his lap and gives me his complete attention; his eyes even dance a little like he’s finding this whole damn thing funny. “Excuse me,” I repeat, no longer breathy, and seconds away from coming.

No, that’s a lie. I’m still breathy and very much seconds away from soaking my panties even more than they already are.

His large hands grab my hips, and he guides me down on his lap with no resistance from my treacherous body.

“Not what I meant,” I say through clenched teeth, trying to sound harsh and offended, but I just sound dazed and turned on. I wiggle in his hold, trying to get free, but he’s too strong for me.

He leans up in his seat, his chest hitting my back and buries his face in my neck. I’m sure anyone who saw us would see a loving couple who just can’t keep their hands to themselves. He’s playing a dangerous game, though, because the second the solid, hard length of him presses against my backside, I forget this is supposed to be a game and squirm a little more. His teeth nip at my shoulder at the same time his groan hits my ears.

“Stop moving, Wren,” he demands, tightening his fingers on my hips.

“You’re the one who put me on your lap.” I curl my fingers over the empty seat in front of me and squeeze my eyes shut when I feel him growing harder under me.

“Yeah, because the flight attendant who just walked by had her phone out and pointed right at us. She’s doing a shit job of making it look like she’s doing something with her paperwork.” His hand comes off my hip, and he cups my jaw, turning my head to the side just when I was about to look up at where I last saw the attendant, forcing me to shift until all it would take is me throwing one leg over his body to be face-to-face. “Do not look at her,” he stresses; the sudden movement of twisting my body makes me bounce slightly in his lap, rubbing my legging-clad ass against his erection. His eyes drop to my mouth where I pull my bottom lip between my teeth and groan.

“Give me a reason not to look,” I dare him.

“You don’t want to go down that road, Wren. I’ll protect you from the world, but you need to protect yourself from me.”

“No one is asking you to.”

Not even knowing if we’re still being watched, I twist my torso the rest of the way, pulling my legs up until they’re bent at his stomach between us. Now that I’m facing him completely, I bring my hands up to curl them both around his shoulders before dragging them up to wrap around the corded muscles at the sides of his neck. His nostrils flare, but he doesn’t stop me. I give him the chance, but it never comes. Dropping my head, I press my lips to his. I explore his lips with small pecks and little licks of my tongue, learning his mouth before pressing more firmly. He sucks in a breath when I open my mouth and slowly drag the tip of my tongue over his bottom lip.

And then his control snaps.

His hands—still at my hips—lift me effortlessly until my legs are no longer folded between us, but now digging into the hard armrests with my knees pushing into his thighs, my back hitting the seat in front of me. His mouth opens, and his tongue meets mine, no hesitation whatsoever, as he deepens the kiss.

Our breathing echoes around us, making it sound like everyone on this plane could hear us, but I know it’s just because our faces are so close. I let out a moan, one that he swallows, that turns into a whine when he pulls back.

“That can’t happen again,” he softly scolds, just as breathless as I am.

What the hell? I might not have been into this whole fake-boyfriend-slash-bodyguard thing before, but I’ll be damned if I’m not going to take advantage of the situation. Especially now that I know how alive he makes me feel. Three years since I had pleasure from anything other than my own hand, and if that kiss is anything to go by, what Chance could make me feel is ten times more powerful than anything I’ve ever felt in my whole life.

I’m not passing that up.

Nope.

No fucking way.

“We’ll see about that.”

Release Blitz & Review: King's Wrath

The wait is finally over! The highly anticipated King's Wrath by Nina Levine is now available on all ebook retailers.

Finally meet the enigma that is King.

Our love wasn't like everyone else's.
There wasn't a first date or flowers and gifts.
We didn't have a song or cute nicknames for each other.
There were no calls during the day to check in with me, no coming home to cook me dinner, and no foot massages at the end of a long day.
That wasn't how he loved.
But love me he did.
Madly, deeply, passionately, completely.
King loved with everything he had.
He just loved a little differently to most.

This is King's story. From the beginning. All the ugly and all the beautiful, by the end of this duet you will come to understand the man behind the club.

King's story will be told over two books - King's Wrath & King's Reign.

I read a lot of books. I love to get lost in the story and swept away for the few hours that the book holds  me captive. I am a fan of this author and a huge fan of both Storm series.  And maybe that's where this emotion is coming from over this book.  We have seen King in the background of all the stories.  He is a ruthless Pres that most of his men are a bit wary of.  But this story.  This is the true, uncut, humanizing of the man that is King.  I was not prepared for his story.

I went into this knowing it was a two part book.  I still jumped right in because I had to know more.  What the author brought was beyond expectation.  The writing, the pacing of the story all matching time with King's own anxiety and darkness.  I found for the last quarter of the book, I needed to walk away.  I knew if I kept on reading, the story was going to end. But this was just the build up.  I have a feeling in King's Reign we are going to see everything that this man has fought for his entire life just explode.  I'm ready. I'm cheering from the sidelines. He is a nasty, challenging man that you just find you need to root for. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of King's story. And I hope and pray he finds the forgiveness he seeks.

Definitely read the Sydney Series at least before grabbing this one.  Take some time because there is a lot to unravel in the enigma that is King.  Fantastic story!  Thank you.

This is the 4th book in the Copper Creek series and I just knew that Corey's story was going to be interesting.  the big brother of the clan has been somewhat of a mystery so far.  We got glimpses but he was very private and aloof during the rest of the stories.

This series is a family saga and as such, we get chapters devoted tot he rest of the family.  time moves forward in each book so you will want to read them in order.  Some of the best parts of this book were when all the brother's and their families were together.

Constance has lead a sheltered life on the mountain as part of the commune settlement.  She thought she was happy with that life until she was being forced to do something she did not want.  Her friends and family help her escape and she runs right into Corey.  The two of them develop trust and then friendship.  All their time together eventually leads to intimacy.  I liked them together.  Very supportive and loving toward each other.  I just felt that Con was a bit too worldly given the lifestyle she was brought up in.  There was no real explanation about how she came to be that way.  I wondered why she didn't question the outside world more.

Regardless of that, this story was sweet with just a tiny bit angsty moments.  Great addition to the series.  Only one brother left and I think he has more secrets than Corey if that can be believed.  Looking forward to it!

Release Blitz & Review: Rome's Chance

From New York Times Bestselling author Joanna Wylde comes ROME’S CHANCE, a new novella in her Reapers MC series, brought to you by 1,001 Dark Nights! Be sure to grab your copy today!

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Joanna Wylde comes a new story in her Reapers MC series…

Rome McGuire knew he was in trouble the first time he saw her.

She was sweet and pretty and just about perfect in every way. She was also too young and innocent for the Reapers Motorcycle Club. He did the right thing, and walked away.

The second time, he couldn’t resist tasting her.

Gorgeous and smart, fun and full of wonder, she jumped on his bike and would’ve followed him anywhere. Still, she deserved a shot at happiness somewhere bigger and better than a town like Hallies Falls. Walking away wasn’t so easy that time, but her family needed her and he had a job to do.

When she came around a third time, he’d had enough. Randi Whittaker had been given two chances to escape, and now it was time for Rome to take his.

This time, the only way Randi would be leaving Hallies Falls was on the back of Rome’s bike.

Sometimes novella's just leave you wanting more.  Not this time!  Rome and Randi's story was just about perfect.  This story takes place 8 years after the events of the last book.  We saw a sneak of them in Reaper's Fire but this novella can totally be read as a stand alone.

Randi is back in her home town for a class reunion.  She bumps into Rome at the grocery store and it's as if no time has passed at all.  Loved Rome to pieces.  A good man all around.  Loved seeing Gage and Tinker again.  Lot's of humor and sass.  Great chemistry between Rome and Randi.  And a couple of bumpy twists I didn't see coming that just endeared this family to me even more.

So happy to be back with this author again.  This book hovers around her Reaper's MC but really takes place away from the MC life.  Great read!

His wide, warm palm grazed her lower back as they wove their way through the tables to the exit.
They crossed over the water garden in silence, slowing as they reached a fork in the path.
“Which way?” Deacon asked. “I’ll walk you back.”
“That’s sweet, but you really don’t have to. It’s a five-star resort, not downtown Los Angeles.”
Deacon kept walking. “True. But you know, I took you to dinner and all.”
She arched a brow at him. “It’s also an all-inclusive resort. Maybe I took you.”
“Maybe you did.”
He flashed her that slightly lopsided grin that hit her right in the chest. She conceded to the walk, and together, they followed the brick path. The resort was dark, but lights along the sidewalk lit the path and shined up the skinny gray trunks of the swaying palms. It was quiet, and when they didn’t pass even one other person, she was glad he was walking her back.
She slowed as they came to the breezeway leading to her building and pointed up the steps to the second floor. “I’m up there, so…”
Deacon started up the steps. “I’ll walk you to the door. I’m funny like that.”
She probably should have said no, insisted that she could make it to her door on her own. Because of course she could. But she didn’t insist, just followed enormously glad she’d removed the HONEYMOON banner from her door.
They reached her room, and she turned to face him. Just the two of them now, up here, alone at her door. She felt a slight buzzing in her head that had nothing to do with alcohol.
“Well, Clare of the here and now.”
She rolled her eyes at the reminder of her earlier word-vomit ramble. “It was nice to meet you.”
She stuck out her hand, hoping it wasn’t sweaty.
“It was nice to meet you, too.”
It didn’t feel like a simple handshake as he wrapped his fingers around hers. “I had fun tonight.
You turned what might have been a horrible night into something surprisingly nice.”
“I’m glad.”
“Thank you for catching me and saving my top and for dinner and talking and…” And maybe she could stop talking.
“You’re welcome.”
A frog gave a low croak, and another answered, but she figured the pounding of her heart was louder.
The buzzing in her head grew louder, and she felt dizzy from looking into his eyes and staring at his lips because she wanted him to kiss her. She wanted to feel those smooth, firm lips on hers, to taste him and feel his arms around her.I'm losing my mind.
“You’re beautiful,” he said. “I’ve been wanting to say that all night.” He lifted his hand and lightly brushed his thumb over her cheek.
Then he leaned in, and she moved. Just…moved. In and up, her fingers twisting in the front of his shirt. She was just falling into the taste of him, just getting that warm, tingling flood of a first kiss when her brain fully registered that he’d been leaning in to kiss her cheek
“I’m sorry.” She swallowed hard, felt a stinging heat flooding into her cheeks, and wished desperately to disappear. Deacon was staring at her in complete confusion. That made two of them. “I’m… really sorry.”
She spun to her door. A stiff wind sang through the open-air hallway, slapping her hair across her eyes. How she got her key in the lock, she had no idea. Mumbling one more apology over her shoulder, she opened the door and closed it behind her. She stood, heart pounding in mortification, her lips buzzing.
The champagne glasses and fruit and cheese tray had been cleared. The bed had been turned back, and the damn swans were back, nestled in the center of the bed and kissing right on their terrycloth lips.

Oh my.....just big satisfied sighs about this one. Claudia Connor has written some of my all time favorite books and this one will rank right up there. I was hooked with the idea of a single dad of twins but the book delivers so much more yummy goodness. Totally sweet romantic read.

Clare and Deacon meet when she is at an all time low. They happen to be in the right place at the right time and Deacon being the totally swoon worthy hero that he is, makes Clare feel worthy again. The story takes us from hot steamy beaches to the cold winter of Chicago.

Wonderful surprise twists. Great supporting characters. Adorable M & M make the story worth the read right there. And as always, an HEA to make you fall in love all over again with this couple. Fantastic epilogue! Perfect frame for the story. Nothing constructive to say about this one. Well written and worth a second read anytime.
