I am a sucker for next gen books.  Of course I would grab this one up.  I loved the original Gloves Off books and this one brings all those familiar faces back to life again.  These are the children of the original characters.  All of them are either related or friendly because of who their parents are.  Just to add more interest, it seems like th eold foe of the parents generation may have resurfaced. 

Emma flees New York for the safety of her family in California when she starts getting threatening messages.  She does her best to avoid the one who got away--Carter. But once he knows she is in danger, he is all in.  They need to sort out their past in order to move forward together.  

The MMA world isn't for everyone. Nicely, Emma grew up in it, so she is well aware of what happens.  She trained herself growing up.  I liked that it didn't take too much time of "we shouldn't, maybe we could, I need to stay away" conversations before they realize they are meant to be.  Neither Carter or Emma has had a long term relationship and it is because they are still thinking about each other. 

Fair mount of  suspense. Lot's of chemistry and steam between these two. Nice humor and banter among the next gen crew.  Looking forward to reading more!

We made it to the final book in the series.  At last---we find Caleb.  He has been missing or off the radar for 10 years. His family has all but given up on the search for him.  And then all of a sudden he is just there. Ok, maybe a few more circumstances that bring him back to the family. 

Caleb has lost his memory but know he must protect the baby entrusted to him.  He escapes and hides out in a cabin.  Along comes single mom and PI Jenna.  And the story is off and running from there. 

Jenna and Caleb quickly build trust and they have each other's backs.  As the Stockton's and extended family get involved in the mystery of Caleb's memory loss, Caleb learns what the love of family truly means. 

We see all of the brothers and their families in this one.  The story goes out with a bang!  I will miss getting together with this bunch of good humans.  It is a great series!

This book kicks off a new side story in the world of the Redwood Pack.  This let's us see how the decimated Adspen Pack is trying to bounce back. 

Fans of the series will recognize Audrey as the lion shifter in amongst the wolves.  Her story gets unwound for the "before" time with the old Alpha and up to the current time. Audrey was a shock to the other packs when she came out while trying to save her old packmates.  Since then, she still keeps a low profile but remains the pack Beta.
