I will admit, when I read book #1 in the series, I was on the fence about whether I could get into this or not. Rest assured. Book #2 is here and I. AM. HOOKED! Dannika Dark brings together an interesting urban fantasy world with characters you want to just sit right down next to and get to know them better.
The Keystone group is like the Special Ops folks but for the Breed world. They handle all the paranormal baddies--usually off the books and outside the law. The stay in the shadows as much as possible. The series focuses on Raven Black and her not only joining but trying to find her way in this group. Of course her s3xy vampire partner Christian makes for some wonderful tension throughout the story. Their banter hypes up the heat level. At some point I hope they combust because it's going to be HOT!
Just a reminder again, this series is a continuation of the story. There is not an HEA in each book. It is suspense and mystery driven, although as I said, the s3xual tension is running high between Christian and Raven. I am looking forward to more of the story. Love, Love all of the team at Keystone. Nice bit of humor and friendship bonds between members. I really like seeing Raven blossom under the sense of caring and having her back that the team gives.
