I am so happy about this book! I didn't realize who Maxim belonged to until the story unfolded. I loved Kai! Makes me want to go back and read his story again. Maxim is following in his footsteps for sure.
I was waiting for Aril's story just to see who she ended up with. She has a back story for sure but when Maxim hires her to find him a house in town, what happened in the past seems less important. I liked these two together but it really was inst-lust between them. No real lead up to anything. Maxim was basically--You are mine. April was like--ok, let's go.
There is quite a bit of action in this one. A disgruntled ex, his crazy fans and a serial killer all on the loose. We see a bit of April's family and even more of Maxim's. I missed the BOOM though! No one said it although I think these two felt it.
Some great moments between these two. Easy read. Overall not my favorite of the series but a good book just the same.
