This is the six book in the series but my first time reading
this author. I am a fan of MC books so I
was interested in getting her twist.
This is the story of Hatch and Maisie.
All the elements of a gooey romance came together for me in
this book. Hot alpha man. Willing to protect what’s his—his younger
siblings, his brothers in the MC and his lady. Adorable single mom who is strong and self-sufficient. Does not realize she needs a man in her life
until she absolutely does. Wonderful
child, Poppy, thrown in the mix. And as
kids often do, gets the adults all twisted up around themselves. All of those things mixed up together makes
for a delicious read for me.
I liked that although neither Hatch or Maisie felt they were
worthy of love again, they found solace in each other. Despite what society may think about their
pairing, they went with their hearts and became a stronger couple because of
it.
I loved the secondary characters in this book--All the
siblings, the MC brothers, Maisie’s best friend. This was fine to read as a stand-alone
book. I am sure those who have read the series
enjoyed this one even more. Great to
meet a new author and I will be reading more from her in the future.
