Decker Kendrick knows it’s wrong to have feelings for his best friend’s little sister, but that doesn’t stop his thoughts from going down that path. No matter how hard he’s tried to stay away from Miranda, once she gets her sights on him, there’s no backing down.

Miranda Montgomery might be the youngest of the Montgomery clan, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know what she wants. Namely—Decker. She’s loved him for as long as she can remember and won’t walk away until she gives it her all.

But once they give in, not all is at it seems. Decker’s father’s out of jail and someone from Miranda’s past isn’t happy with the new relationship. Even as they start to move on and overcome their pain, they’ll find that their inner obstacles are the ones they’ll have to face first.

Review:

This book is part of a wonderful new series by Author Carrie Ann Ryan.  You may be familiar with Carrie Ann's paranormal works, The Redwood Pack series and Dante's Circle series. This new contemporary series has come out novellas that have introduced us to the very large Montgomery family.  Two of the siblings own a tattoo parlor and although all of the family members have a matching tattoo, the series is about  more than just tattooing.

Tempting Boundries lets us see one of my favorite tropes--best friend's sister--developed between Miranda Montgomery and Decker Kendrick.  They have been friends most of their lives.  Miranda is all set to move to a more "adult" relationship, but Deck isn't so sure about crossing that friend zone boundry. I love how Carrie Ann writes very alpha male characters yet gives them just enough vulnerability to make them seem more "human".  Miranda is determined to be the balm and the support Deck needs.  When he finally lets her in, the pages steam up with all the sexual chemistry flashing between the two. I love the tenderness between the characters that allows us to see their true feelings for each other.  I also really enjoyed the love and camaraderie between the Montgomery family.  Even though Deck has spent a lot of time with the clan, he still comes under the "big brother" code when they find out he has his sites set on Miranda.  Overall, the book was a perfect sprinkling of angst,  humor, love and sex.

There are a lot of secrets still to be discovered with this family.  I am looking forward to the next installment, Forever Ink, coming March 24, 2015.  If you want to catch up with this bunch, check the following titles:

About the Author

New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan never thought she’d be a writer. Not really. No, she loved math and science and even went on to graduate school in chemistry. Yes, she read as a kid and devoured teen fiction and Harry Potter, but it wasn’t until someone handed her a romance book in her late teens that she realized that there was something out there just for her. When another author suggested she use the voices in her head for good and not evil, The Redwood Pack and all her other stories were born.

Carrie Ann is a bestselling author of over twenty novels and novellas and has so much more on her mind (and on her spreadsheets *grins*) that she isn’t planning on giving up her dream anytime soon
