Oh. My. Goodness! I think I will need to move to Hawaii after this book! If you have ever thought that you may need a 6 1/2 foot Hawaii God of a man in your life, you need to meet Kai in this 2nd book of the Underground Kings series by Aurora Rose Reynolds. We met Kai briefly in Assumption, book #1. He is a take no prisoners badass of an alpha male. His intention is to help out Myla and keep her safe. Best intentions seem to never work the way we want. Kai quickly falls for the beauty. He knew her as a young child and now that she is a grown woman, he can't keep his eyes or his hands to himself.
Aurora knows how to write steamy, hot males. They tendto have a stubborn streak but are easily maneuvered by the women who love them. Kai is no exception to this. It was nice to see him bend his badass ways once he know how much he meant to Myla. A tough guy with a soft heart = melty love story!
Myla is also a very strong character. She has lived her life with a deep secret and still manages to come out courageous and self sufficient. She isn't looking for love, but finds her future in Kai. There are some steamy love scenes so have your ice chips handy! Also some violence and suspense elements.
I loved the Until series by this author and this spin off is proving to be just as addicting! No need to read book #1 first, but why not??? Looking forward to more from this author.
