NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan continues the Montgomery Ink Legacy series with an emotional, friends-to-lovers romance where second chances begin with a promise.
I fell in love with the wrong man and learned the hard way to ask for help.
I don’t plan on falling again and have no intention of trying.
But when I get invited to a high-powered CEO retreat, I know I can’t say no.
And I can’t go alone.
When my frenemy, Nick, invites himself as my escort, I should walk away.
But there’s no stopping the connection we’ve both ignored for far too long.
Only Nick’s past is far darker than he lets the world know, and the shell he encased himself in is stronger than my own. And when the pain from my past comes back with a force, I’m afraid that walking away will be the only choice—even if it breaks us both.

New York Times bestselling author Corinne Michaels brings another second chance standalone in the town of Rose Canyon.
My biggest mistake was falling in love with my fake husband.
It was supposed to be a marriage of convenience between two best friends in the military. Our plan was to collect extra money and stay stationed together.
But what failed? Me. I did. Because suddenly I wanted a man who was never meant to be my real husband.
In an attempt to remedy my mistake, I severed all ties and put my life as a combat medic and Emmett Maxwell behind me. I’ve lost too many people to open myself up to love.
Now I’m working as a private investigator, and fate has stepped in, forcing our paths to intersect again when I’m looking into the disappearance of a missing girl with ties to Emmett’s hometown. A case I fear puts his life in danger.
He gives me one week to prove my suspicions and then I need to sign the divorce papers and leave. The problem with that? The moment I see Emmett again, I realize how foolish it was to leave him, to think I could ever stop loving him. All I want is a second chance.
When the case threatens not only my life but also his, I’m faced with my worst fear. How many times can a heart break before it shatters beyond repair?
This second book of the series picks up right where the first books ends. This book brings the same element of suspense as the first one but with a great second chance romance laid on top. Emmett and Blakely have been secretly married for years. A marriage of convenience. What happens when their paths cross again and maybe one or both of them want it to be more?
Loved seeing the whole group of friends come together again to help solve this mystery. I admit being quite teary with the twist. Lots of action and the promise of lifelong love made this a winner for me. Love the small town setting.
I can't wait to read Holden's story!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Corinne is a former Navy wife and happily married to the man of her dreams. She began her writing career after spending months away from her husband while he was deployed--reading and writing were her escapes from the loneliness. From the Wall Street Journal bestselling author of 44 Chapters About 4 Men (inspiration for the Netflix Original series Sex/Life) comes a dark mafia romance steeped in Irish folklore.
I can't remember anymore if my grandfather's eyes were blue or green, but I'll never forget the way they wrinkled at the corners when he laughed at one of his own jokes. Or the way they sparkled with mischief when he told me tales about the magical creatures that dwelled in the forest behind his humble Irish sheep farm--shy fairies who liked to eat tea biscuits, cruel witches who liked to eat children, a moody lake spirit with a taste for expensive gifts.
As a child, I believed every fantastical word. But when he warned me about the mute boy who also lurked in those woods, the one the priest had declared to be the spawn of Satan himself, I refused to listen. Kellen wasn't evil. He was kind, and beautiful, and special, and hurting. He was my friend. And with every summer I spent stolen away with him in those enchanted woods, he grew to become so much more.
But when I return to Glenshire as an adult, grieving and engaged to someone else, all those legends quickly morph into nightmares.
My grandfather had been right about everything, especially the boy.
If only I had listened.

(an Irish actor seen on Game of Thrones, Vikings, Vikings Valhalla, & The Witcher)
This is a story about fated love. Darby and Kellen have known each other most of their lives. Both have lived unimaginable horrors and come out on the other side. After years apart, they are reunited in the scenic Irish countryside.
What happens next is a hold on to your seat, action packed, romp across the country. We get mafia bad guys, the heart of the Devil shows up in Kellen and even more of a surprise--Darby chooses Kellen--no matter the danger.
Great look at the underbelly of the Irish mafia. Even better look at the beautiful land and it's people. Loved Darby as a young girl. Loved even more how she came through for Kellen even if he tried to push her away.
Great read!
Wall Street Journal bestselling author BB Easton lives in the suburbs of Atlanta with her long-suffering husband, Ken, and two adorable children. A few years ago, she quit her job as a school psychologist to write books about her punk rock past and deviant sexual history full-time. Ken wasn’t super excited about that, but now that he’s appeared in three of her books and inspired a TV show character, he’s incredibly supportive.
BB’s debut memoir, 44 Chapters About 4 Men, went on to inspire the Netflix original series, Sex/Life, which was viewed by 67 million households worldwide within the first month making it the 3rd most-watched Netflix original series of all time. Because she had so much fun writing 44 Chapters, BB went on to publish four more wickedly funny, shockingly steamy, and heartwarmingly autobiographical books, one for each man in her memoir—Skin, Speed, Star, and Suit.
The Rain Trilogy—a dark, immersive, end-of-the-world romance—was BB’s first work of fiction. Or at least, that’s what she thought when she wrote it in 2019. Then, 2020 hit, and all of her dystopian plot points started coming true. Hoping to fix everything, BB returned with a fun, feel-good romantic comedy called Group Therapy, but alas, the world is still on fire … and so is BB’s desire to write intense, us-against-the-world romances. Her next release,Devil of Dublin, is a dark Irish mafia romance steeped in folklore and family secrets.
You can find BB procrastinating in all of the following places:

The Aspen Pack
series from NYT Bestselling Carrie Ann Ryan continues with a fated romance that
was never supposed to happen.
Skye
Jamenson-Anderson knows the legacy she must live up to. She’s the daughter of
warriors and the granddaughter of the late Alphas who sacrificed everything so
their den could survive. Though she feels she doesn’t have a place in her Pack,
she does everything in her power to keep them and their allies alive—including
saving the Aspen Alpha.
As Alpha of the
Aspen Pack, Chase Leyne knows a thing or two about one’s legacy. He’s the son
of a traitor and the most powerful wolf in his territory. He also knows without
a doubt that Skye is not his mate. When the two decide to lean on another in
every way possible, they both go in knowing nothing forever can come out of it.
The enemy is stepping up their game and threaten
the stability of the alliance forged in blood. With one bite, Chase and Skye’s
world changes, and the one thing that is keeping them apart might be the only
promise to save their Packs and their future.
This is our second look at the Aspen Pack. The heart of so much historical pain for shifters and those in this Pack. Chase as the new Alpha is trying to bring them together. Trying to heal the past and in doing so, make the Pack stronger. The enemy keeps coming at them and is getting stronger as well.
Skye feels like she is s nobody within her Pack but she can be a helper--a doer, whatever the Pack needs. Her and Chase are drawn to each other but no mating signs appear. The Goddess has been messing with them all. Danger and the thought of loosing each other is enough to kick things into place.
The Vampires are still up to know good. I look forward to finding out the role of the Aspen Pack and indeed all the Packs in getting rid of the Vampire army.
Great addition to the series! Looking forward to seeing many more of the older generation couples as their children come of age.
