This is part of a duet so please keep that in mind.  The book does end suddenly.  However--all the good stuff leading up to the ending---classic Jewel writing.  Things just keep slipping in to the story until you find yourself going---what in the world???  

This is a second chance romance. But Colton and Josie have a lot if baggage to work through until they are back to their teenage level relationship.  Add in a sweet little girl, lots of dead people, and unsolved murders.  Maybe some ghosts or at the very least a paranormal element to the story???  I loved it all!  

I'm not so sure I loved Josie holding a 17 year grudge. I realize she has some social miscues going on. But she NEVER let go that Colton broke her heart.  That's a long time.  But Colton works to earn her trust again. And then things get twisty turny. But Colton stands by Josie.  The second book will be a doozy I think! 

Great read.
