Release Blitz & Review: Break Me

★NOW AVAILABLE★

Break Me is live! In a powerful, smoldering novel from the bestselling authors MJ Fields and Chelsea Camaron, two tortured souls team up to overcome the past, finding the courage to heal . . . and to love.

Jason “Cobra” Stanley was born to fight. With a father like his, he had to toughen up just to survive. Now Cobra tries to take out all of his frustration, all of his anger, and all of his pain in the MMA cage. But after he receives one too many hits to the head during a match with Jagger Caldwell, the cycle of violence comes to a screeching halt. Cobra wakes up in the hospital, under the care of a nurse whose blond hair shines like a halo—and whose pure heart touches him on the deepest level.

Lorraine Bosch is a fighter too. Having escaped from her own controlling father, she prides herself on remaining professional, despite the chaos in the ER. But Cobra is the ultimate distraction. Lorraine knows she should run away screaming from his rippling muscles and shattered psyche. And yet how can she deny this broken man a second chance—especially since she knows exactly what he’s been through? Lorraine’s used to playing guardian angel. Now it’s her turn to find heaven in Cobra’s arms.

I give credit to these two authors for tackling quite possible one of the most vile characters ever introduced in a series. Cobra is no nice guy looking for a nice girl. We meet him in the Caldwell Brothers series as an opponent to Jagger in the MMA cage. He plays dirty and he doesn't care about anything.

So kuddos to the authors. This book is just as gritty and dirty as Cobra. There isn't much to feel good about until about half way through. There is so much "what the f**kery" going on in the beginning! I mean what more could possibly be told about how messed up these two main characters are??? But with his "angel" Lorraine by his side. Jason can finally see that the sins of the past do not necessarily predict the future. The bad guy has some good in him. By the end of the book, I was ready to cheer him on. His courage and love for Lo outweighing any evil he had done in the past.

This is not a light fluffy read. Know that going in. In the end, love doesn't make all the hurt go away but it helps us to heal. Jason and Lo end up being perfect for each other. The cycle of abuse and hate ends with their love. It's an HEA they can both be proud of.
