It has been awhile since I have read this author and now I am wondering what on earth I was thinking by waiting! This book starts off a new series: ADAIR FAMILY. The description had me grabbing this book. Scotland, old castle, broody hero, heroine trying to reconnect with her past, throw in some intrigue and I had to read this one! 

Robyn heads to Scotland to confront her estranged father. What she didn't prepare herself for was the love he still carried for her and the reawakening of her heart toward him. That love leads her to stay on at the castle, despite the grump of an owner-Lachlan Adair. Her father is in danger and even more so, they believe Lachlan and those he cares about are also in the bullseye. 

This was a well written tale of mystery and who dun it. I wasn't expecting quite so much of that in this book but really enjoyed trying to figure this one out. Loved the setting of course but the secondary characters really made the story. Small town folks, quirky rich and famous folks, and the Adair siblings all made for rich reading. 

Happy to have read this book. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
