Kit
Molly Lynch isn’t like any woman I’ve met before. The pretty, ball-busting reporter has a penchant for asking questions that dredge up memories I’d rather keep buried. I answer them, though, because I’m so intrigued by her—a mix of shy and bold, so set in her ways that the slightest change knocks her off kilter. The closer Molly gets to my dark truth, though, the more I try to shift her focus to what I want most—her total surrender to me in the bedroom.

 Molly
I finally have the life I’m meant for. Predictable. Boring. Safe. NHL player Kit Carter upsets the stability I crave when he looks at me with his dark eyes, wounded and guarded, but also swirling with desire. I can’t let him figure out who I truly am—driven not by ambition but by anxiety. Unable to let go of my control, even for a second. There’s something about Kit that draws me to him so powerfully it’s no longer a choice, though. I need to give in, even if it costs me everything.

I have loved every book so far in this series.  Kit is new to the team but a pretty laid back guy.  Just wants to play hockey and do his thing.

Molly wants to be a hard nosed journalist and rightfully feels she has to work double hard to prove her chops because she is a woman.  She takes writing a fluff piece to a whole new level when she starts investigating her source.  Along they way, Kit starts to mean more to her the more she uncovers.  He is so patient and respects her boundaries.  They wait to be in a true relationship until after the story prints.

I enjoyed Kit so much. He is an honestly great guy.  He has some baggage though and I felt like the reveal to this seemed not only overly dramatic ( Molly's reaction) but it also left me wanting more resolve for him.  He deserves some closure.  I wanted just a few more chapters or an epilogue---something.  Hopefully, we will get to catch up with him in future stories.  Maybe another novella?

I also felt like Molly had more to tell us as well.  She is quirky and smart and so opposite of what you would think an NHL player would be looking for. But her and Kit just clicked.  I liked them together.  I just needed a little bit more.

Can't wait to see what is coming next for this team.
