Great collaboration between these two authors. I knew they would bring the best of the best for Mafia stories but wow! Loved the single parent part of the trope as well. This is the first part of a duet.
Lev and Kat are just perfect together. He is all dark and broody and trying to protect her. Kat is fiery and wants to be in control. She is a very determined Mama Bear as well. When she runs for her life, she thinks everything is in the past. LOVE when Lev finds her again. Great reintroduction. So much steam between these two.
The story is just picking up speed again when the book ends. Everything should get sorted in book 2--I hope! Lots of Mafia action--dark and seedy characters for sure. Looking forward to Lev cleaning house.
