Blog Tour and Review: KNOX

Sexy. Famous. A player on and off the field.

Cooper Knox has a body built for sex and sin, and he's my dirty little secret.
He was supposed to be a one-night stand - but now he’s back in town,
and he’s going to find out the truth.

I’m his best friend’s little sister: off-limits and totally out
of his league.
We swore we’d stay away from each other.

Our secret could destroy everything.

But Knox always gets what he wants.

And he wants me

We get a sneak peek at this couple in the novella "A Night with Knox." This is the full story of Shelby and Knox and their road to HEA.

Things always get complicated when the guy falls for his best friend's baby sister. In Knox's case, he totally falls for Shelby without knowing who she is. When they finally "meet" things only get worse. Both of them are remembering their New Year's Eve together. While Shelby's brother is away for 2 weeks, they decide to through caution to the wind and spend a LOT of quality *cough* time together making sure their bodies have not forgotten how wonderful it is to be together.

Shelby has been a character throughout the series so far. She continues to be sassy and take charge. She lets Knox in to her heart and he gets to see a softer side of her. Knox is a professional baseball player and we get to see a bit of his work life and the effects on the player's relationships when they are away so much.

Shelby's brother Jackson definitely needs to get his HEA. He works too much and worries even more. Waiting to see that man tumble! Looking forward to the next book in this series and catching up with Knox and Shelby again.

*ARC received for an honest review

Excerpt

“Yeah, well, now that Knox is back in town, we’re gonna have to find him a steady girl,” Cassie says, furrowing her brow as if she’s scanning her mental rolodex.
“Yeah, between the two of us we know plenty of girls who are still single.” Savannah pulls her phone out, ready to start scrolling through her contacts.
Cash laughs. “Don’t hold your breath, ladies. The local diamond dolls are gonna be all over our boy here. Let him enjoy it before you start trying to chain him down.”
Groupies. I’ve gotta admit—the routine gets old, but the eye candy never fails to tempt me. Like I said, you only live once. “Hey, the last girl I hooked up with didn’t even know who I was,” I can’t help pointing out.
Ryder laughs. “Is that what she told you?”
I roll my eyes.
“Did you find her hidden under a rock, then? I hear those cloistered nuns are hot.” Cash grins at me, that old twinkle in his eye. He’d never mess around on Savannah, but I swear that’s made him worse than ever about hounding me to go hook up in his place.
“Actually, I met her right here in this fine establishment of ours.”
“Nice. Hooking up in the library—exactly what we had in mind,” Cash says with more than a little enthusiasm.
“You say that like we haven’t already,” Savannah butts in with a pointed eyebrow, which earns her a high-five from Cassie.
“Hey don’t change the subject,” Ryder interrupts. “You’ve been holding out on us, bro. When was this? And who, someone from school?”
“New Year’s. And nope. Never seen her before in my life. Or since, for that matter.”
It may not have been the first time a New Year’s countdown and a whole bunch of booze ended with a girl screaming my name, but this time was different. For one thing, this time I was sober enough that my memory of the way she felt beneath me in that baseball field is still seared red-hot into my brain. The number of times I’ve relived that night, her hands all over me, her breathing heavy as she urged my fingers closer to her soaking panties . . .
“So that’s where you disappeared that night, you dirty dog!” Cash punches my arm across the table.
Savannah laughs and tops off her and Cash’s glasses of bubbly with the last of the champagne. “Anybody you care to see again?”
Yeah, you could definitely say that. If I knew how to find her, that is.
“Would if I could,” I admit. “But she was a one-and-done kinda girl. Said no when I asked for her digits.”
“Oooooh,” Ryder says. “Love ‘em and leave ‘em. The very best kind.”
Cassie punches him in the arm and steals his drink out from under him. “A mystery woman, nice. What did she look like? Maybe she’s a regular.”
I open my mouth to describe her—long brown hair, huge, sexy, deep brown eyes, a sway in her step when she walks, a gravelly voice when she’s coming—okay maybe I wouldn’t have added that last part. But right as I’m about to start speaking, a knee collides with me from behind.
I manage to keep from dropping my scotch, though just barely. I’m about to spin around and bark a curse at whoever just staggered into me, when Jackson, who’s been oddly quiet so far, stiffens. “Oh, hey,” he says, looking not at me, but above and behind me.
Everyone’s eyes follow his, and I turn around to find myself staring up at a familiar face.
“What, that’s your only greeting to your beloved little sister?”
There, standing behind me, close enough to touch, close enough that I can smell the familiar floral bite of her perfume, is my not-so-mysterious-after-all New Year’s hookup. Grinning sarcastically while looking straight at Jackson.
Little sister? Jackson’s younger sister is my mysterious New Year’s hookup?
Fuck.
You have got to be kidding me.
