Grab your tissues!  You will need them at the start, somewhere in the middle and in the end.  The lives of Zach and Em weave together in ways they could never imagine.  Brought together by necessity and then kept together out of kindness, caring, love. 

I loved Emersyn's spirit. Her willingness to go in with eyes wide open.  I do wish when it came to Zach, she would have spoke up about her feelings sooner.  Lots of angst in the book. Are things too taboo? age-gap? death bed promises? It takes a long time for her to get her head on straight only to have Zach not be in the same place or frame of mind. 

The writing is excellant. I read almost everything by this author. My 4 stars are not 5 because I feel she has done this trope over again. Yes, there is a little bit of a twist but the overall theme of we must separate to find ourselves. Travel the world until we know what we want. Somehow make our way back to each other.  It's a good trope but I am looking for something fresh from this author. 

Emersyn makes the story. Zach is a good man but took WAY too long to get himself sorted.  First read of this author--pick it up--you will have all the feels.
