Betrayal. Destruction. Truth.
He says you can only rise up once you hit rock bottom.
Only be made whole once you’re fully broken.
I don’t know that there’s anything left to break.
Time is running out for me. Enemies are closing in at every turn.
But this time I won’t be alone.
One brother has vowed his protection. The other reaffirmed his hatred of me.
Yet they both want me.
But something dark is unraveling inside me.
An event too terrible clawing its way into my consciousness.
And even as things begin to change between us, it’s those memories that may undo us all.

This is the conclusion to this dark mafia family saga. It picks up right where the first book ends. We get to see Vittoria coming in to her own. SHe is strong. She is determined. And she will not go down fighting.
Amadeo and Bastian have changed their focus where she is concerned but never toward the revenge they want on her family. More twist and turns come out--horrible secrets revealed. But under it all you get the growing sense of love. These brothers care what happened to Vittoria and what she will need from them going forward.
As strong and Vittoria was, her character fell apart a little for me with all the push pull angst about "sleeping with the enemy". I thought all that was ironed out in book one. The brothers have clearly shown they have some affection toward her. She just wouldn't let it go.
Everything wraps up nice and neat. I would love to see an epilogue 10 years in the future to see where this family is at.
