This is the 4th book of the series and although I have loved them all, this one seems to have stood out as the best of the bunch. I love single parent stories anyway but throw in a somewhat reluctant hero with all the angst and chemistry bouncing around Yeah, just about a perfect read.
Jacob is the last brother to spend his time in Sugarloaf as per their father's will declaration. He doesn't want to be there. However, he agrees to support a struggling boy looking for a mentor after the death of his father. In that whole package, comes Jacob's big heart and his immediate attraction to the boy's mother, Brenna.
We not only get this lovely friends to lovers story, we also get to feel the healing that has taking place for this family of brothers. We get to see them happy and settled in their lives. We get to see Jacob realize there is more to life than work and fight for what he wants. God Bless momma Arrowood for all she instilled in these men while she had them.
