You never know what you are going to get with this author. She is full of surprises at every turn. Always willing to give the reader a mindf*ck along the way. This is part 2 of a duet and I guarantee that you will not see some of the twists coming.
Mickey and Pike continue their dance trying to decide what they mean to each other. The book picks up right after the first one ends. Both want revenge but it takes a lot of talking and some s3xy times to get their heads screwed on straight. And even then, it takes a twist as to who helps ultimately to orchestrate the downfall of the Fourth Reich.
Fans of the King series will love seeing some familiar faces. In fact, the scene with Pike and King is probably one of my favorite. Loved how the story wrapped up. The ending was just perfect. Best message EVER---The only way to eliminate hate is to LOVE. <3
My only nit pick, and this does not count against my rating at all--is that the ARC was in rough shape. It caused me to get out of my head space sometimes because there was such a jumble. Just messed up my reading pace, not anything to do with the quality of the story.
