This is my first read by this author.  It is the second book in a series but read just fine as a stand alone. Sloane's best friend's brother has been her crush for as long as they have known each other.  With a little push, can it turn into something more? 

I liked the banter between these two and even the running monologue in Sloan's head.  I liked that they were friends first.  Oli is a self professed man whore and tries to steer clear of Sloane.  Even when they get together, he is still telling her he is no good for her.  I just wanted some acknowledgement for Sloane's feelings.  She was all worked up and ready to try and he just walks away because he has "issues".  

The writing is great.  Perfect timing.  I just got a little lost thinking Sloane was worth more than the dickish way Oli was treating her.  I don't read many man whore/no relatioship tropes so maybe this is as they go?  I would read another by this author just to see where she goes with this hockey theme.

As far back as R.C. Stephens can remember she was a sucker for a good romance. Of course there had to be a prince charming even if he ultimately was a dark knight and there had to be a happy ending.

She watched the movie Dirty Dancing way too many times growing up and Jean Claude Van Damme movies too. Go figure!

After years of saying she would write a book one day, she finally put pen to paper and carved out the plot line for what would eventually become the best selling Twisted Series. Now R.C. is just finishing up her tenth book and can’t seem to stop the stories running through her mind.
