I was raised by the Devil himself.
Formed into a man that was unreachable.
I went from the boy with bruises
to the man with a trigger.
Killing is the only thing the calms the itch.
The demons inside were a constant battle.
…until she changed everything.
When you spend most of your time
in the dark, is it smart to step into the light?
“Too strong to run, too proud to hide, for this I’ll pay, for this I’ll die.”

This is my first time reading this author. I enjoy a good MC book so I decided to pick this one up. This is about the Devil's Reach MC. They are a 1% club. The book is raw and dark. Do not pick it up thinking you are getting a romance. In fact, my first suggestion was going to be to wait until book two comes out before reading this one. However, this looks like it is going to read more like a serial story. We still get Trigger and Tess in all the books,, but the story line moves forward without an HEA at the end of each one.
Trigger and Tess are both a hot emotional mess. Both have had horrendous pasts. The author brings every detail to life with these two. That said, Tess is an awesome heroine for Trigger. She has just enough sass and street smarts to keep him on his toes. He doesn't like it but she is slowly peeling away the "Trigger" persona and finding the man underneath.
Lots of action. Lots of suspense. Lots of steam. Great secondary characters. I devoured the book in one sitting. Here comes the catch. Cliff hanger at the end. I urged be to try and grab book 2 right away to see what happens if that's any indication of the level of cliffy for you.
Great start to a series. Really well written twisty plot that sucks you in from the start. Can't wait to read more!
