Seeing Evan again is taking a toll on me, I can’t sleep and my mind is in a constant state of turmoil. I wake up in the middle of the night from dreams of us. The memories of him, of us are too much. Some memories have the ability to heal. The ability to light up the dark because the beauty of the memory is so bright you’re still able to bask in it.

But the memories of us are killing me slowly. They remind me that for one moment I had everything while reminding me it’s gone. It’s the realization that we’re done that’s killing me. The realization that I can see him but can’t touch him that he exist but he’s not mine is agonizing.

Aurora is a go to author for me. I absolutely LOVE the whole Until series. This spin off of the grown children from that series is also the top of my wish list for perfect books. Giant epilogues get me excited, what can I say! So this is June Mayson's story. We have seen peeks of her in July and Jax's books and it seemed something fishy was happening with her. Who knew she was tangled up in secret love, secret marriage and a devastating secret divorce all before she graduated college. She rightly guessed, her daddy, Asher was not going to be happy about any of that. This story tells us what happens when the love of your life leaves but you can't make them vacate your heart. Can hearts be mended? Possible. It takes a strong woman to help put a broken man back together. It takes family love to help us through our anguish. And finally, it takes the unending love of a good man to put back the missing pieces of your heart. June is not my favorite Mayson. She was kind of ...meh..for me. I liked her, but it was Evan who makes the story. So very alpha male but with a vulnerability that makes him more human. He is so sweet to June when he finally decides to make a go for her again. Loved how he stands up to all the Mayson men to stake his claim on June. I always enjoy catching up with the Mayson clan. Girls night out was epic! Very much looking forward to the next installments in this family saga. Great read! *ARC provided for an honest review.
