This is my first read of this author.  I was drawn to the book based on the twist on Cinderella that the blurb promised.  Both Daisy and Dunk are hometown sweeties.  They are just good people.  It only makes sense that they might be good for each other, right?  

I enjoyed the first third of the book quite a bit.  The banter with friends. The search for the "missing" girl of his dreams.  The feeling of trying to sort out if it was just a one night thing or if they really do have chemistry.  After he finds the girl, it just kind of turns into a cute fluffy read.  No real tension, no real excitement.  I would have enjoyed a longer find the girl process I think.  

Overall, not a horrible read.  I liked Daisy and Dunk together.  I liked the small town feel of the story.  I'd give the author another read in the future.
