This is Toni Aleo's first venture into the MM genre and she does a pretty good job.  We meet these characters in some of her other books in the Assassins's Series.  Matty is the brother of Avery--married to a Sinclair,  and Wells is Wren's brother.  This book overlaps Wren's book in the timeline and then moves forward a bit from there. 

If you read nothing else, you need to read the wedding scene.  When Matty realizes that he may loose Wells forever, those moments--really touching and well written.  Matty has miles to go before he is fully in the lifestyle and open with Wells but he wants to try.

The author does a great job showing the conflict between who a person is and who the world wants the person to be.  She takes us through all those emotions of belonging that we all have experienced at some point in time. 

I loved seeing all the NHL friends and family.  If I was rating the steam level, I would say mild to moderate.  Super sweet moments but fans of traditional MM writers will notice the difference.  I am so happy that we got to have Wells' story!  I can't wait to see if this couple pops up again in the future.
