 This is the second book int he series but can be read as a stand alone. The series follows Theo and his family. This one is a second chance romance with a bit of intrigue thrown in for good measure. 

Sofie and Theo were childhood best friends and lovers. And then one day Sofie was just gone. Broken hearted, Theo tries to carry on. There is no word, no call, nothing from Sofie. 8 years later she is back and Theo questions why he ever hated her so much. 

Lots of secrets to be revealed. Neither of these two have been able to move on to another relationship. They just seem to click together. I liked them for each other but was more interested in the side characters. I loved Sofie's best friend  and her daughter. I really liked the relationship between Theo and his family. I would read more of the series just to have that experience again. 

Overall, not a bad read.
