BLURB

Logan Storm, an ex-Delta Force sniper, with scars on the inside, is drifting through life on his way to nowhere. While trying to make peace with his past, Logan encounters a young bar owner and her brothers, with trouble brewing the size of Montana.

Skylar James is worn out. She's trying to raise her two teenage brothers  and hold on to the only home they’ve ever known: 500 acres won by her father in a poker game before they were born.

Luckily for Skylar, Logan finds the peace he’s been looking for in the all-American beauty and decides to stick around Ennis, Montana just as adversaries renew old feuds and bodies begin to pile up in the aftermath.

This is my first read of this author and what a book to launch in to! It looks like this is the first in a series. I am excited to see what else happens to folks in this small Montana town.

The bulk of the book is mystery and intrigue. But we get a lovely developing romance along with it. Skylar has been caring for your young brothers since her father died. On one of the worst days she has imagined, a stranger with storms in his eyes comes to her rescue.

The story is a bit of insta love but these two really seem to connect on the most basic of levels. They just get each other. I loved both Sky and Storm. Loved the small town feel and all the quirks. Max was the dog of the day for sure!

The mystery/suspense portion of the story was no great surprise but it did add some elements of the unknown to the story. Storm adopted this small town and became just what was needed in their time of chaos.

I would love to catch up with Sky and Storm again. I am hoping we see them in future stories. Would live to see Ty and Jake get their HEA at some point.
