This book sets up the story of Tristan and Emma Jean or Grim and Tricks as they are called on the street. It's about fighting gangs, poverty, love of family, responsibilities and under it all true love is waiting to explode. I love Tricks to pieces. She is so interesting and quirky but a heart of gold under it all. She is the key I think, to getting this town to settle itself down. I can't wait to see her grow!
Now, where do we go from here? HUGE cliffy at the end. As I said, this is just the beginning or set up to the story. The events that transpire are going to effect the rest of the books. Grim's heart is tied up in this as well so I know he is going to have some say in what happens next. Book 2 can not come fast enough.
Fans of the author will be happy to see a couple familiar faces pop up in this book. Also, if you have pre-ordered, you will get a glimpse at Nine. So excited for this one!!
