Release Blitz: Fade to Red

Dancing in pop superstar Beckham Woods’ entourage was the last thing Roxie wanted. Her life with little Leo was blissfully ordinary; she didn’t have time for the drama that stirring up old memories would surely cause.

But when Roxie took a spot on an international tour with Woods and rock icon Ian Sterling, the lure of financial security and her passion for dance pulled her into an emotional storm that threatened to spin out of control and hurt the ones she loved most.

Just as she began to adjust to her new life, it became apparent that danger was in the shadows, waiting for a chance to move...

***Fade to Red is a standalone novel featuring characters from True Love Story.***

Willow Aster is a new to me author.  I was thrilled to be able to read her new novel for review.  The premise is one of my favorites.  Young single mom gets a job dancing and touring with a rock star, making more money than she could ever hope.  Supporting her son as best she can.

What I didn’t realize is this book is Romantic Suspense.  Holy crap!  I was not prepared for that at all.  I don’t mind this genre but this one creeped me out a bit.  I made the mistake of starting reading late at night and could not shake the willlies!  I had to walk away a couple of times.  This will be tame for some folks maybe, but there were spots I didn’t want to turn the page to see what happened next.

I can’t give too many details or it will ruin the read for you.  Beckham and Roxie have some history.  When she joins up with his tour, she tries to avoid him, having been hurt in the past.  Beckham recognizes their chemistry right away.  I loved the chase in this book.  Beckham gets burned by Roxie so many times, yet he keeps coming back to her.

I enjoyed the alternating POV from this author.  Her writing style lets the reader get to know the characters with ease.  The secondary characters also had some substance.  I really enjoyed little Leo! Great read for me.

Willow Aster loves nothing more than writing the day away--anywhere will do. Her ideal place to write would be a remote treehouse somewhere, but not just any treehouse. It would need to be more like a fabulous cottage inside and free of bugs. Oh!--and a refrigerator full of Coca-cola, Orangina, and cheese. www.willowaster.com
