I love the author's True North series and this first book with the Giltmaker family takes us right back to the beautiful Vermont area that we have come to love.  Vermont is the summer is dreamy and small towny and just perfect for falling in love. Or have they never fallen out of love. 

Matteo and Leila were best friends alk through school. But then he turned 18 and left town and never looked back.  They both made some poor choices and had some baggage. But when Matteo returns for his brother's wedding, it's like they were never apart. 

It is kind of second chance romance but a heavy dose of friends to lovers. Great to catch up on lots of familiar faces in this one.  Leila and Matteo were meant to be.  Loved meddling family and hard to love family as well.  

I am very much looking forward to Leila's brother's stories. Those should be good ones!  Loved the epilogue! I can't wait to catch up with this family again in future books.

This is a stand alone book by this author that is full of banter and chemistry. Things are not always what they seem in her books and this one also holds to that pattern. 

I loved Emery--heart and soul. A good person and someone the world needs more of. I enjoyed her fire and her willingness to let Callum have it if needed. 

So--my suspension of disbelief kind of stopped with the whole fake marriage/real marriage trope. Other that being physically attracted to each other, I wasn't buying that these two would suddenly be all over each other. I just didn't think that was Emery's character.  

Thew book is well written. This author always gives great stories. I just wasn't as on board with this one as I have in her previous works.  Not for me, but maybe others will enjoy it more.

I adore this author. She has written some of my favorite paranormal books.  The blurb for this one seemed so unique and fresh to me. I knew I had to read it. This book falls into so many categories-it can't help but interest many readers. We get time travel, alternate history, dystopian future, magic users, some suspense and intrigue--oh, and there is a love story embedded in there as well. 

As with the start of any new series, there is some tediousness around the world building. You will need to power through that. I struggled with determining if the language and the place names where real or made up. It would through me out of my reading vibe every time a new to me word popped up. The first half of the book was slow going for me because of that. I set it down a few times to take a break. 

That said, the second half of the book was fantastic! Lots of action. All the intrigue came in to play. Secrets were revealed. Lots to love about the story! the MC Narine is fabulous! She is a bright light in whatever time she is in.  I loved all the characters in the present/future timeline.  I cant wait to catch up with them. 

The book does not necessarily end. Not a cliff hanger but you know there is more to tell.  I look forward to visiting this world again.

This is the 4th book in the Aspen Pack series of next Gen wolves.  We have seen Dara and Cruz in the previous books. They have an interesting relationship and things get even more twisted once they believe they are mates. 

The packs continue to fight the vampires and demons. Someone is giving them information and support.  Dara needs help to protect the pack. Cruz goes with her to recruit some witches who have helped her in the past. 

Lots of action and magic in this one. Very interesting twist on the mate bond was revealed.  Very much looking forward to Jade's book.  She is a marvelous character introduced as Dara's friend.  

Great addition to the series!

What a great addition to this series.  June and Apollo just seem to click. They have history, they have chemistry and they both have that tough as nails attitude toward life. The author brings her veritable wit and best friends feel to the writing. You will fall in love with this second chance romance.

June and Apollo grew up together. June has always crushed on him but he broke her heart.  I LOVED that she was open about it and that Apollo worked so hard to gain her trust again.  I also loved that they thought htey were fooling their friends but everyone could see the changes they were making. 

Love the setting and the small town feel of the story.  There is a little bit of drama but for the most part, the story-- and the ghosts --bring a wonderful  feel good story for readers to enjoy.  

I hope we get to visit this small seaside town again. I would love to catch up with the 6 friends in the future.
