I had issue with the first book of the Lawson Brothers in Redemption Hills because of the writing style. The grunting-- the incomplete sentences. I am here to say that this book redeemed my view of the author. The pacing of this book had me on the edge of my seat. Jud Lawson is the Grim but watching him trust again and turn over his heart to Salem--priceless read right there. 

Salem has demons. Jud had named his issue the Demon. He thought it was buried deep. That is until Salem lands on his doorstep.  His Demon will do anything to protect her. 

A bit of a slow burn back and forth between these two. They don't want to be attracted to each other.  But as Salem's Mimi says - the heart knows the way and will lead you where you need to go. 

All that tenson leads to a finale with fireworks and all the secrets coming out.  LOVED the epilogue so much.  Can't wait to see more of these two and Trent and Eden in baby brother Logan's story.
