This book is part of the Charistown Series by Lisa N. Paul. It can be read as a stand alone or as a prologue. Having read all of the series up to this point, I think it should be read in order of publication. The reader has much more vested in the main characters: Julie and Danny having experienced their love and compassion through the characters in the previous books.

This book starts out back in time. Back to when Danny is in the military and walks into a bar. His life is forever changed the day he meets Julie. Both have heart wrenching family histories. Together, they heal each other and become each other’s world---each others MAIN.

Other stories, other authors may bring you love stories. Lisa N. Paul brings you the healing power of love. The strength of family. And the understanding that the love of family does not always come from those we have biological ties to.

If you haven’t read the series, go ahead and read this book. You will enjoy it. If you’d like to meet the rest of the Charistown gang, I suggest holding off on Julie and Danny’s story. Come back to them when you have seen how they are with their employees. I promise it will be worth it!
