Release Blitz & Review: Crimson Oath

Crimson Oath by Elizabeth Hunter is now live!

A brand new vampire. The lover who got her killed. And a desire neither can deny.

Tatyana Vorona used to be human... until she met the dark and mysterious Oleg Sokolov. He lives in a world of power, blood, and betrayal. And now so does she.

By helping him, Tatyana helped herself to an early grave. Then she rose again as a vampire with the ability to manipulate water. Tatyana is in hiding, trying to master her magic, blood lust, and the terrifying draw she still feels toward the man who set all this in motion.

He might control fire, but flames of desire have a will of their own.

Oleg's empire was shaken by his daughter's betrayal and the bloodshed that followed. Now someone else is trying to take advantage of the chaos to destabilize his rule further. He should be hunting them down, making an example of anyone who dares to challenge him.

Instead, he's searching for her. No matter how far Tatyana runs, he's determined to return her to his side. And when it turns out she's hiding right underneath his nose, he'll do whatever it takes to make Tatyana his. Permanently.

Fire and water collide in this steamy romantic fantasy about a new vampire that won't submit and her powerful lover who must learn to bend in order to keep her. CRIMSON OATH is the sequel to BLOOD MOSAIC, and takes place in the same expansive world as Hunter's popular Elemental Series.

Review

What a grand adventure this was! The author takes us on a journey through Europe as Tatyana tries to find her legs as a new vampire. And Oleg tries to convince her that they belong together. You will need to have read the first book of the series in order for this one to make sense to you.

Along the way we get to learn a bit more about the Kamvasa and the caravan people/vampires who live day to day and campsite to campsite. Such great world building once again by this author. We do have some ongoing intrigue. We get to see some familiar faces in the mix. And most important, we get to see Oleg really turn over the reins to Tatyana so she can blossom into her own.

Once again just a fabulous story by this author!

Review

So wonderful to be back in this small town. Ember Falls is just the perfect place to live and be and grow a family. In Book 3 we get to Everett's story.  I love a good second chance romance and this one it right up there with the best of them.

Violet thought she did the right thing when they were younger and broke things off to the Everett fly. Years later, she comes back licking her wounds and who is there to support her--Everett.  It's a slow burn but also a familiar story. They know everything about each other up to a point, but need to reconnect as adults. Lots of things are trying to get in the way of them being together forever. Everett is a keeper in every sense of the word. He is just golden.

Love wins the day as always.  Great to see Everett's good friends and teammates and their families. Love seeing all the love this small town has to give. Even those new to town are shown kindness.

Great addition to the series. One teammate left to go! Looking forward to his book.

Review

Ok. It's been a hot minute since I was immersed in this world. It was a slow start until my mind caught up. Then--action packed all the way until the end.

We pickup right after book 2 with the Group still trying to come to terms with all the Mordecai has wrought. Belinda is trying to be comfortable in her new skin but still strongly feeling the need to protect and nurture.

Some twisty turns that were delightful to read. Fantastic world building once again by the author. Truly space and time locations that are just fabulous! The good and the bad needed to meet eventually and what a show down it was!

Ultimately it was love that saved the day and who can complain about that? I love Belinda and Damien so much. A love that has stood against time is truly one for the ages. Without giving too much away, this was a grand finale to the series and a perfect ending to a perfect love story.

Release Blitz & Review: Where We Bloom

Where We Bloom by Kristen Proby is now live!

From New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby comes Where We Bloom, an Age Gap, Billionaire, Best Friend’s Brother romance set in Bitterroot Valley!

Connor

After an explosive night together, I thought I’d never see the gorgeous bookstore owner again.
We didn’t exchange names and numbers, and when I left her asleep the following morning, I didn’t intend to pursue her. I don’t have time for relationships nor entanglements.

I’m the CEO of Gallagher Hotels, and my life is spent traveling around the world, focusing on my business, not a small town in Montana. Even if my thoughts keep returning to the most incredible woman I’ve ever met.

It turns out, my mystery woman, Billie, is my sister’s best friend, and she’s suddenly everywhere I turn. She’s become my obsession and all I think about. She’s become the only thing that means more to me than running my empire. And I’m determined to have her.

Billie

Owning a bookstore in my hometown of Bitterroot Valley has been my lifelong dream since I was a little girl. The only thing that brings me more joy is my love of thrift stores and coffee.

And, maybe, the sexy Irishman with intense emerald-colored eyes that take my breath away. His charming accent, how he looks at me, and the way he spoils me with lavish gifts are just the icing on the cake. I’ve tried to stay away from him, but my resolve is slipping. Nothing is better than being in Connor’s arms and feeling like I’m the most important woman in his world.

But being with a high-profile billionaire comes with a price. Can we withstand the storm headed our way, or are we destined to fall apart like delicate blooms in the wind?

Review

This is the 3rd book of the series about siblings living in small town Montana. This one has maybe my favorite heroine of the books so far. Billie is the only sister with a bunch of bossy brothers and man can she hold her own.

If you have read the rest of the series, you know that Billie and a certain swoony Irish man have a history. This story basically gives us a look at what happens when you say piss or get off the pot!  Billie is done having her heart tangled up with someone that doesn't want her.

FINALLY, Connor gets the picture!

Great look again at all the couples in town. As always, book club is where all the good gossip happens. Also wonderful to meet Connor's parents and see what his life in Ireland is like. Just an overall fantastic read with a heroine who knows her worth and let's her wishes be known.

Shattered Promise by Penelope Black is now live!

Book Blurb

Mason Porter: Avalon Falls' hottest single dad, my brother's best friend, and the only man who’s ever broken my heart.
Oh, and now he's my neighbor.

I came back to town without telling anyone—just me, a half-forgotten cabin I inherited, and the quiet hope that a few stolen weeks might be enough to outrun the pressure closing in from all sides.

I didn’t expect to run into Mason and his son by the creek. I didn’t expect him to keep my secret. And I definitely didn’t expect the way it would feel to slip into his life like I’d always belonged there.

Now I’m living next door, falling into a rhythm that feels dangerously close to peace. I watch his son while he works, cook dinner more nights than not, and for the first time in years, I don’t feel like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop.

For a little while, it works.
Until it doesn’t.

Because this town has secrets, and I’m not the only one running from something.
Someone is watching me.
And the danger I thought I left behind might be closer than I ever imagined.

He was never mine to begin with.
But loving him now might cost me everything.

Review

I hadn't read the other books in this series. I love a good single dad story and add on a second chance romance??? Yes, please.

Abby remembers the growing up years. Mason is her brothers best friend. She has crushed on him for forever. After unknowingly breaking her heart, Abby takes off out of town for school and work. time passes and she is burned out. She heads home and discovers her heart still beats for Mason. She adores his little son. And she finally feels at peace in her heart.

It takes a little bit of the story before all the truths are revealed. Causes some angst for a bit. There is also a bit of suspense at the end--which, again, I don't know that is was needed.

Over all great story. I didn't feel I missed out on anything having not read the previous stories.
