Review

This is the 5th book of the series. It has been great getting to know this team. Each author has brought us something special.  This is Kelton's story.  I love a good second chance romance and this one is perfect. 

Emerson and Kelton have some history. Thank goodness Kelton's sister Liz sees the best in both of them and finally pushes the issue. Kelton is a pro baseball player and Emerson is a small town girl. I loved that Kelton SEES her and knows what he has been missing out on. 

I liked how the author takes us on this journey with them. Some angsty moments but more related to young love and reacquainting themselves with each other. Kelton is so gone for Emerson. She settles him and quiets all the noise the big leagues have brought to his life. 

Great addition to the series!

Smoke’s eyes drop to his chest, and he places his hand over mine.

“You’re okay, Smoke. So am I. It’s all okay.” The words are softly spoken. Soothing, like you would for a frightened child.

My heart hammers loudly in my chest, and it’s not just the adrenaline of the situation.

It’s the way I feel Smoke’s heartbeat beneath my palm. It’s the way his hand sits over mine, covering it completely, so strong and warm. It’s the way his thumb rubs over my fingers and the way his eyes darken with heat and arousal.

It’s his presence. The way we feel so…joined. His eyes raise to my lips as he runs his tongue over his lower lip.

Hell, I’m not even sure how I fell headfirst into that kiss.

Smoke shakes his head. “Not your fault. Just—we can’t do that again.”

Unable to come up with anything else to say, I blurt one word: “Okay.”

Four letters that do absolutely nothing to convey the storm raging inside me right now.

“Okay,” he repeats.

Review

This is the 3rd book of a series. I am loving this MC and all the members! 

Smoke and Quinn have had interesting lives. They have always been on each others periphery.   It isn't until Quinn's life is in danger that they agree to calla truce to past feelings and support each other in the here and now. 

I love a good slow burn enemies to lovers story. Quinn has had her guard up for years around Smoke.  When the truth finally comes out, Quin starts to crumble but Smoke is right there giving her the courage she needs to face the past. 

Loved seeing the other couples. I love the small town atmosphere of this whole series.  Looking forward to reading more!

4.5 stars

What a great addition to this series! Loved seeing how mom and dad met.

It had to start somewhere and why not in Ireland. Tommy and Fiona's story is a great love story standing on it's own. If you have read the Bluegrass series, it will be even more meaningful to you. Two strong characters with a ton of love between them.

I will be sad to leave the horse world behind. Thanks to the author for giving us just one more look at this great family.

I love this author so I am always happy to review anything she writes. This one missed the mark for me.

I don't always look for coming of age stories but I don't think it was even their ages that rubbed me wrong. I think it was the absolute immaturity of Gabby and literally no one other than Ben stands up and says how ridiculous she is being about Matt.

i am also not a fan of love triangle and this one boarders on that.

I DNF at 50%. Again--love this author's work. This one did not stack up to her other books.

I haven't read the other books int his series but I love a good single parent trope and this one was awesome! Through is a little baseball to make it even more fun and I was all in! 

Single parent--not even on Flynn's radar. --nope not for him. Until he meets Olivia and then he is all in. The chase is on. Add in her charming daughter and his heartstrings wen ka-boing!  Great family supporting Flynn. 

Olivia and Flynn are full of great chemistry. We get to see a little baseball. And we get to feel all the love of family and friends. So happy these two got together.  I want to go back and read the other brothers books!

This is book two of this spin off series in Montana and once again the author does not disappoint! This may be one of my favorite couples she has written. Beckett and Skyla are just golden together.

I have a feeling all the Blackwell siblings are squishy softies at heart with a strong protective instinct. But Beckett just brings on all the charm as well. I don't think Skyla or her doggo Riley were prepared for Beckett Blackwell but they are so glad he is theirs.


Great small town feel once again by this author. She has the quirky characters down pat. I am looking forward to Skyla's brother trying to tame Billie Blackwell.

I love a good second chance romance. And this one is a single parent trope as well. Sign me up!  Doc and Juliette are two hearts that belong together. Torn apart only to find each other again and find so many secrets on the way. 

I love that these two never really got closure and because of that, they are drawn even more toward each other. The ranch heals all things and these two deserve to find their HEA. 

Loved seeing Doc's family and the brotherhood support Juliette and her son. Loved seeing Doc fall in love all over again. Great setting as always. I want to just curl up and sit by the fire with all of them and listen to all the stories, 

Baby sister is still left to find her true love. I'm guessing Birdie has a whopper of a tale coming our way!

REVIEW

We FINALLY get Tweetie's story!  Well worth the wait. What a wonderful conclusion to this series. Tweetie has been hanging in the background, giving all his teammates advice and crap about being in love. And now, we finally get to know what has his insides twisting and turning. 

Tedi and he have a history and when Tedi has to come and promote Tweetie's hockey team for the league, they are destined to have to spend time together. Some secrets coem out. There is some angst. But in the end, true love never leaves your heart. 

I loved how the rest of the Nest supported Tedi and cheered on their relationship. Great to see all the couples together. Great ending to the series. I can't wait to see what happens with the Baseball guys in the next series.

What a great way to kick off a series!  Love that we will get to see different authors all interact with this baseball team. Christy and Evan could not have had a more perfect meet cute! Everyone needs a haircut, right??  Evan was not prepared for Christy but is so glad his sister made the appointment for him 

Single parent is one of  my favorite tropes so this was a no brainer to read for me. Love the baseball action we get to see.  Evan is the star.  Absolutely a great guy and a great catch. He just needs to convince Christy to take a chance. 

I am looking forward to reading about some of the other players and their HEA. Great idea for a series!

I have read several books by this author. PNR and Fantasy are my go to reads. This one sounded interesting to me. There was some unique world building. Cyrus is a god trying to get back to Mt Olympus and Cleo is looking for her brother so she heads to his last known address and meets not only Cyrus but all the other lesser gods and fallen gods that live there. 

That is about the gist of what I understood, I started reading and felt like I was missing some information. I was re-reading parts. I could not get the attraction between Cyrus and Cleo. It was not chemistry to see them argue back and forth with each other. 

There is a lot of history thrown in and I think it muddy the waters a bit. The book did not keep my interest for very long. I did muddle through and finally at about 75%, I gave up. 

I do love this author's works. This one is not a favorite. I don't think I will read any more int he series.

This is my first read of this author. I was intrigued by the synopsis. It's been a bit since I read this trope.

The set up was great. We meet the characters and get into their heads right away.  Aurora and Jackson were great. It got all muddled for me when Aurora and Jackson are apart and she is traveling as a model. There were some editing issues and timing concerns for me. 

The action was in your face but boy did we jump around a lot--months, weeks. I was back tracking to make sure I didn't miss something. 

Ethan seemed very much like Jackson to me--just older. I wasn't feeling much between the three of them other than the s3x. I think there could have been some more character development and a stretch to the story. 

Not great for me. A quick read and might be interesting for other folks.
