What a great start to this series! We are familiar with all the families int his small town. This new spin off will follow the Blackwells.  Even if you haven't read any of the other books, you will fall in love with Bridger and Dani and Birdie! 

This hits all the trope buttons of single dad, small town friends to lovers and a strong female lead.  Just a well written flushed out book a the way through. We get some drama from Bridger's ex. Otherwise, it's just time spent getting to know each other again and getting a peek at their families. This author has small town and sibling banter down pat. Loved it all!

I have read quite a few Melissa Foster books. I have loved them all. I have not read the Montgomery series though and this one is spin off from that. All that said, it's pretty easy catch up on everyone. At it's heart this is a family saga and that includes all the love and banter that only families can shower you with. 

Clay and Pepper have known each other for years. Clay has always wanted Pepper and she has done her best to avoid him. Lots of misconceptions about Clay and his football carrier and his active love life. Pepper tries to keep her distance unti. Paris. 

Paris is for romance and love. These two steam things up but I just was not feeling the romance so much with them. Lots of great conversation. I just was not convinced they were soul mates. And maybe that was because I hadn't seen them interact as part of the other series.

Loved the family members. Loved all the banter. I liked Clay  more so than Pepper. Overall an OK read, just not my favorite from this author.

What a wonderful kick off to the new series!  We get to meet all the small town loveable characters willing to meddle in others lives. We get a band of brothers trying to hold their own on an inherited ranch. We get second chance romance that is super swoony. And finally 2 adorable little urchins to round our the family! 

Rhett and Paige have known each other all their lives. After breaking her heart in high school, she hasn't been back to their town or even seen him for that matter. Now they have entered into a contract that is mutually beneficial, but all those old feelings can't keep themselves buried. 

I love the banter and the closeness of Rhett's brothers. I loved Baylee for Paige. The only weirdness for me is the insta-lust. These two have issues that need to be worked out. Realistically--I would think it would be more slow burn....hey we're married...we haven't talked in 7 years.....lets get to know each other....if we do cross that line it will be because our relationship has changed.....you know, those kind of things.  

I am looking forward to the rest of the brothers finding their HEA. Its been a hot minute since I read this author. I may have to pick up some more of her back collection.

I haven't read this author before. This was a perfect blend of MC and romance.  A bit of the coldness of the underworld and such a sweet single mom to offset a grumpy SA in this first book of a new series. 

Everything about Raven and Fen was both heartbreaking and so strong. They are in survival mode but she has it mostly together.  Wraith interrupts their lives and then everything changes for the better.  

Loved the small town setting. Loved meeting the MC brothers. Wraith and Raven are perfect together. I can't wait to catch up with them in future books.  Looking forward to the next one.

This is the 4th book of the series about the Japanese and Russian mafia families. Takeshi is a powder keg and I was wondering how his story would play out. The little snippets of Katarina we had already seen and learned had me intrigued as well. 

Sadly the story was not my favorite of the series. other than Katarina's 'dark' kink, the two just didn't seem to have much chemistry. The families are still fighting for power. And arranged marriage would calm things down a bit. But someone else is lying int he wings causing havoc. 

We don't see much of the previous couples in the story. I think Tak ultimately has a good heart. He loves his family and believes in their work. I wasn't convinced he loves Kat. They have lots of suspense and action tearing them apart and bringing them together. But again, I wasn't picking up on the chemistry. 

If this was the last of the series, it was a disappointment. I enjoyed the series over all but this was my least favorite of the stories.

These two have known each other for a couple of years. But when they decide to act on their feelings, sparks fly and they just are so comfortable with each other.


Lovely afternoon read. Sweet romance with just a little bit of action/suspense. Loved this one.
