Great beginning for a new MC series. Lots of ground work to cover in the world building but in the end, I think the author gives us a pretty good sense as to where this MC stands in the world and what they will do to protect their own family.
This is a taboo older man younger woman romance. No lines are crossed until Sarah is of age. Sarah is also a pretty old soul, so it didn't seem as though she was just turning 18. She is the daughter of Reaper's deceased best friend and he has raised her in the club since she and her brother showed up there.
I liked Sarah's grit and determination. As ruthless as Reaper was in the MC world, he kind of fails in the relationship world. He wouldn't piss or get off the pot. Thank goodness Sarah was a woman on a mission. I think ultimately, Reaper got the better end of the deal. Sarah makes a perfect old lady.
Loved Sarah's brother Boomer. His book is next and I can't wait to see what he gets up to. Love their relationship.
I'm looking forward to learning more about this crazy a$$ bunch of bikers. Great brotherhood and some ruthless characters.
