Review Policy

Hello! Thank you for your interest in my blog! I started my blog because of my reading obsession— a book a day or more—and a need to share my thoughts and feelings about those books. Most of my reviews are of books I purchased or borrowed. I do not receive nor accept any payments for my reviews. Please read through my review policy before contacting me for a review of your book.

My Reviews

Reviews will always be an honest reflection of the book and not affected by the source I receive the book from. My review may not always be positive, but it will be a fair representation of my thoughts, and my thoughts alone. I do not sell my reviews nor will I sell any books I am sent. I will not share any copies of e-books I am sent.

Ages: NA and Adult

(Not terribly interested in YA unless it is paranormal. Subject matter will determine whether I will review the book or not. Too far out of my teens to have an interest here!)

What I Accept

I will accept ARC’s and already released books from publishers and authors. I can only accept the following:

* Kindle files (.epub)

*PDF (if absolutely necessary)

I will accept certain indie titles. I reserve the right to turn down ANY request, for whatever reason(s) I please. Please do not send me the third title in a series without verifying I have read the first and second. Sorry, but I prefer reading in order. Send the first book in the series, a standalone, a book in a series that I have already read, or send along the prior books of the series to review as well.(review time will take longer.)

Rating System:

5 Hearts:

Totally Obsessed! Perfect! Loved it! Will read again for sure.

4 Hearts:

Reaaaally Good! Recommend you read it. Just a couple of tweaks and it would become an obsession. 

3 Hearts:
Not bad! A good read overall. Some enjoyable moments but needed some work to get obsessed about it.

Anything less than 3 hearts or if I did not finish the book, I will contact the author and let them know prior to publishing the review. 

Please note: I have read and continue to read a LOT of books! I honestly don't have the time, nor inclination, to read books that I don't like. This does not apply to books I've requested. I feel obligated to finish those. I will give your book at least 100 pages to get me obsessed with finishing it. If it doesn’t grab me by then, I will mark it as DNF and give an explanation as to why. 

Reading and Posting Reviews:

I cannot promise an exact date of when the review will be published. I will try to read the book within a week of receiving it, and post the review within two weeks of receiving the book. I post reviews on:

•  Goodreads 
• Links on my Facebook account

If you would like me to publish my review by a particular date, please indicate it in the email and I will try my best to accommodate.

 I have not received any compensation for writing my reviews, nor will I accept any compensation for my reviews. I have no material connection to the brands, products, books, or services that I have mentioned as part of reviewing for this blog. Some of the books I review have been purchased by me, borrowed from a friend or received as a gift. Other books are sent by the publisher or the author for an honest review. I will always state the source of the book in my review. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”
